“The mystery of love is greater than the mystery of death.”
I was asked if I believed the quote “The mystery of love is greater than the mystery of death.” (by Oscar Wilde) today and I responded yes. With more thought it to it and wondered why I do. I love this quote, to me death is something that I have always been able to deal with. Through my beliefs and faith (as crazy as it may seem to others) has prepared me for what to expect. Love, on the other hand is a complete mystery. I am not saying that I have never loved, I love many things on many levels. I love my children, friends, music and food (again on different levels). Love can be satisfying, uplifting and euphoric. It can also be painful, unfair and complicated. Death is part of life, it is something that even if you have never felt love will happen, it is no mystery. Love is a complete mystery, to feel something and want something you may never have is what I fear most.
